Hey everyone! Today our cousin cooked, who also has a cooking class behind him, so we knew it will be something really fancy. He sticked to only appetizers and main course, because as you will see, it was time consuming.
APPETIZER: Goose liver parfait with mango chutney
So fancy. I have never heard of chutney, but gosh that is so good. I don't know the recipe exactly, but he put the parfait on the toast, and on top he placed the mango chutney which he didn't do, because apparently it takes loads of time and styled it with some tomatoes and orange.
MAIN COURSE: Duck a l'orange and roasted veggies
Okey, so I guess I don't have to tell you that this was yummy as hell. I don't know what recipe our cousin used, but here is one. All I know is that he stuffed the duck with oranges, garlic and onions and he cooked it in the oven for about 2 hours. As side dish he roasted some veggies: tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and zucchini. He served the food with great hungarian white wine.
I feel like this main course is perfect for Christmas and for the holidays. It might be more complicated to do, but for those of you who enjoy cooking this is definitely a must!
Have a wonderful week!
