Hey guys! After last weeks enormous Travel Tuesday post, I decided to keep it short this time.
HOW TO GET THERE:
Since we went to Morocco by ferry, we had to take a bus from Tangier to Chefchaouen. You can either take the CTM bus (you can also buy the ticket online), or you can go to the local bus station and ask around for buses. That is what we did!
If you flew to Fez with Ryanair (there is a flight from Paris to Fez), you can also take the CTM bus, or maybe your hotel has one day trips to Chefchaouen!
WHERE TO SLEEP:
All you need to know about hotels/hostels in Morocco is that the "dar" ones are the more affordable ones, the "riad" ones have gardens and pools inside, and they can be pricey. So, we decided to stay at Dar Besmellah because of the beautiful view it offers over the city. It was a bit hard to find, but so worth it!
WHAT TO SEE:
Well this city is famous for the beautiful blue painted houses and doors, as you might have noticed in my pictures. There is no museum (that I know of). Just get lost, explore the place. If you spend more than one day, maybe you can go in the Rif mountains, I heard it is amazing. Plus, they say it has the best hashish in the world (if you are into that kind of stuff, haha).
WHERE TO EAT:
We ate only once in a restaurant, but I totally forgot the name of it. There are not so many restaurants, so you can just decide on spot where to eat. Be aware, the Moroccan salad consists only of tomatoes and onions, maybe some spices!
Don't forget to check out my vlog as well!
Have an amazing week!
