Chocolate Fashion Coffee

If you’ve been following us for a while, we did some interviews with four lovely ladies from different countries! This time, we thought we want something more, not just a Q&A type of article, so during my stay in Budapest I met up with one of the most famous fashion blogger from Hungary, Festy! I found out so many interesting things not only about her, but the whole Hungarian blogosphere! So, if you want to know more about it, read on!

First of all, who is Festy?  She is a beautiful, cheerful blogger from Budapest who started her blog 4 years ago, when Hungarian fashion industry was only starting to develop. She read about this concept of fashion/lifestyle blog in a magazine, decided to dig deeper and finally she started her own blog! Isn’t that just amazing? During these years she accomplished a lot of things, she was the face of Marks & Spencer Campaign, she attended fashion weeks (New York and London) plus she is an active blogger, takes part in a lot of Hungarian fashion events, sale shops and workshops! And the best news? Almost everything in Hungary is free! They even have a so-called Design Week where you can sit down and talk to very famous Hungarian designers, take part in workshops where you can create your own bag/accessories, go to very interesting exhibitions. For me this is really weird because here in Romania, if you want to go somewhere, maybe meet up with a famous blogger, you have to pay, and you have to pay a lot. There was a conference/workshop in Cluj where the ticket for 4 days cost more than 100€!!! Isn't that insane?

Anyway, when I heard I won the scholarship to Budapest,  I knew I wanted to meet up with some bloggers so I decided to write to Festy, because she seemed like such a lovely girl. When she replied, I was so happy! We went to a very great place called the Szimpla Kert, where we talked hours and hours about our dreams, wishes, about ourselves and other bloggers, about the differences between the two countries and so on.

As almost every fashion fanatic I know, she was fascinated by fashion at a really early age, when all she could ever dream of is what kind of dresses would she sew for her Barbie dolls. Luckily for her, her grandma was a tailor so there were plenty of sewing machines in their home! What an ambitious girl, we have sewing machines as well but somehow we couldn’t learn to work on it even after 20 years! Of course, life has a funny course of action , she studied Cartography and did her PhD as well in the field, but when reaching the top of the top (she developed school atlases for partially sighted students),  she had to look for something else that she can fill up her days with – that is when she started the blog!

I asked her about her style as well, because I have seen so many sides of her on the blog. She loves simplicity and hippie lifestyle, so that is what mostly influences her, but as a conscious blogger, she tries out many styles and trends as well. This way her style is constantly developing, changing, and we, as her followers won’t be bored with the same outfits over and over again! Honestly, I am always looking forward to her outfit posts, because they are always different with amazing photos!

If you want to see more of her photos, please check out her blog!

Hi guys! Up until now, we showed you three beautiful young lady's blog, each with a unique sense of style. This time, we decided to present to you Krystin's blog, Suburban Faux Pas, which I am sure most of you have come across. If not, here are some of our favourite looks of her! Enjoy!

 1. When did your interest in fashion begin and what made you want to start a style blog?

It wasn't until my late-teens and early 20s that I really began to appreciate the realm of fashion. I started a blog when I moved to the suburbs to prove to people that even outside of fabulous city life, style can prevail!

 2. Have you always had a spot in your heart for fashion?

To be honest, I wasn't always the 'fashionista' growing up. I rarely paid attention to my outfits in high school and was often scolded from my mother for dressing like a boy.

 3. Describe your style. Has it evolved since you began your blog?

I would say that my style is modern feminine. I can't deny I love a good ruffle, frill or bow but I'm also partial to modern textures, cuts and styles.

4. What things or places inspire you?

Certainly other fashion blogs act as major sources of inspiration. I also cannot deny the amazingness that is Pinterest on my personal style. But I also draw influences from the places I've visited. Notable destinations for fashion include NYC, Paris and Rome for style.

5. Do you have any style icons?

I am a major fan of Olivia Palermo, Blair Eadie, Vanessa Jackman and Jenna Lyons.

6. What spring/summer pieces or trends are you most excited to wear?

I am really into transitional items at the moment so distressed boyfriend jeans, summer dressers that can be layered into the fall and leopard print loafers.

7. Is there a store or designer that you feel best embodies your personal style?

That's a tough one. I don't think I could choose just one. My style can evolve from one day to the next. I might be in J.Crew from head to toe one day and then find myself in a seemingly-modern suit from Zara the next.

8. What five essentials should every girl have in her wardrobe?

Black leather jacket, fabulous pair of sunglasses, leather oxfords, an investment bag and a gold MK watch :)

 9. Do you have a signature scent or shade of lipstick?

So it's a recent find but I am in LOVE with my White Blossom & Nectarine perfume from Jo Malone. The scent is light and airy but lasts all day long which is every PR girl's dream ;) While I have recently been more daring with my lipstick purchases I would probably have to stick with a tinted nude shade like Snob from MAC.

10. What websites and blogs do you read daily?

StephanieSterjovski.com, AtlanticPacific.Blogspot.com, TheEveryGirl.com and LuellaJune.com

 11. What are your favorite designers and where do you usually shop?

Oh lala! I love Valentino, Prada, Alexander Wang and Oscar de la Renta. I'll typically shop at Zara, Gap, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Forever 21, Joe Fresh and J.Crew :)

Hope you enjoyed it!

Hi guys! If you've been following us for a while now, you might know that we recently started interviewing our favorite bloggers, and we think it's such a great idea to get to know them better. This month we decided to introduce you  Ashley, a beautiful mommy-to-be blogger, who never fails to disappoint us with her colorful yet very girly-girl style! Enjoy!

1.When did your interest in fashion begin and what made you want to start a style blog?

"I think I've always had an interest in fashion.  When I was young my mother would try and pick out my outfits.  I've always had an idea about how I wanted to dress and I never let anyone get in the way of that (including mom!).  I started my style blog because I had seen so many others and thought I should take a chance at it as well.  I never realized how much you put into posting your personal style but I find it both fun and challenging."

2. Have you always had a spot in your heart for fashion?

"Yes!  As a young girl I always wore dresses.  I considered myself a bit of a tomboy, but I'd be playing with the boys in my dresses.  These days I've found  more of my femininity, but I've never stopped dressing up."

 3. Describe your style. Has it evolved since you began your blog?

"I consider my style girly yet practical.  I have an hourglass shape so I love to wear fit and flare dresses.  I try to buy pieces that I can dress both up and down and get multiple uses from.  I don't think my style has changed since starting my blog, but I think I get much more inspiration from other bloggers which definitely influences my style."

4.  What things or places inspire you?

"Defintely other bloggers.  Before I was consumed by the style blogging world, magazines were great inspiration.  Unfortunatly, it was hard to recreate a style when you're being shown high fashion pieces.  I love going to a style blog, being taken away by their outfit, and finding exactly where they bought it (or linking to something similar).  I've found so many great pieces this way!"

5.  Do you have any style icons?

"Of course!  I love Carey Mulligan's style.  She always looks flawless!  I also like Taylor Swift, Kiera Knightly, and Emma Stone."

6. What spring/summer pieces or trends are you most excited to wear?

"I feel like I'm growing into maxi skirts and dresses this summer.  While it's not what I normally wear, I think they look so pretty and they're really easy to style.  I was really into crop tops last summer, but since I'm pregnant this year I won't be wearing any haha!"

7. Is there a store or designer that you feel best embodies your personal style?

"My favorite designer of all time is Luella Bartley.  Every piece she's ever designed should be in my closet!  I was really upset when she decided to retire, but I heard she's doing a line for Marc by Marc Jacobs that debuts next year :)"

8. What five essentials should every girl have in her wardrobe?

"A fit and flair little black dress
A great pencil skirt
A comfortable pair of heels
A peacoat
A pair of black pants"

9. Do you have a signature scent or shade of lipstick?
"I love Bright Crystal by Versace.  I think it's a great summer scent!  As for lipstick, I always stick with a baby pink.  I feel like it goes with everything."

10. What websites and blogs do you read daily?
"I try to read blogs everyday but sometimes it's a little challenging!  But I make sure to always keep up with Midwest Muse, Of Corgis and Cocktails, Smitten, and Shop and Twirl.  They're always fun reads!"

11. What are your favorite designers and where do you usually shop?

"I mostly shop online.  My favorite stores are Modcloth, Ruche, and ASOS.  I really love Dahlia as well, their dresses are all swoonworthy!"

Hope you enjoyed this interview! We have a question for all of you: do you really think Google Reader will shut down? There were multiply rumors like this, and it still works. We think it's just a way of making Bloglovin' more famous, you know like those stupid rumors about Morgan Freeman's and Akon's death. But still we want to be sure about it, because if it's true, than most of the blogs will shut down, or what?! Anyway, if you think it will shut down and still want to follow our blog, here is our Bloglovin' :

Have an amazing week!

Do you remember our post from a few months ago when we introduced you to Mariann from Cashmere In Style? We decided to make more interviews with our fave bloggers, this time with Dora from Fashion Painted Dreams, she is a Romanian blogger based in Germany. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to meet her in person, but there's always hope! Enjoy the interview!

1. When did your interest in fashion begin and what made you want to start a style blog?
2. Have you always had a spot in your heart for fashion?

It's funny but I've actually had this huge passion for fashion and everything beautiful for as long as I can remember. I started to draw fashion sketches at an early age and loved to play dress-up with my friends in our mom's clothes. I've always believed that you need to try and do what you're passionate about, so starting a fashion blog just came naturally, as a great way to express my creative side.

3. Describe your style. Has it evolved since you began your blog?

It definitely evolved! I like to mix and match a lot and try to incorporate new shapes and pieces into my wardrobe regularly. And even though I like to keep things pretty classic as it's timeless, I always try to give my outfits a modern twist by devoting more attention to the details. For example, I prefer pairing a plain or a printed basic tee to a classic pencil skirt, instead of a shirt. It's a lot more contemporary and refreshing.

4. What things or places inspire you?

It varies a lot and I'm constantly seeking new delights to inspire me. It can be an old Hollywood movie, a mesmerizing runway collection or a chic girl I saw on the street. I also gather my inspiration from editorials, fashion portals or street style blogs.

5. Do you have any style icons?

I wouldn't exactly name them my personal style icons as I don't believe in such idioms, but I do admire Cate Blanchett's, Nicole Richie's, Marion Cottilard's or Emma Stone's fashion sense.

6. What spring/summer pieces or trends are you most excited to wear?
Emerald green! I simply love this precious color! A fancy maxi dress in this beautiful shade is on top of my summer wishlist.

7. Is there a store or designer that you feel best embodies your personal style?
Frida Giannini, the creative director at Gucci! She's a queen of elegance and glamour, her designs being exquisite and luxurious yet wearable and unfussy. Her design philosophy seems to match my personality like a glove.

8. What five essentials should every girl have in her wardrobe?

A black, sleek blazer; a pair of flattering dark wash jeans; a classic Leather jacket; nude stilettos; jersey tops in various colors.

9. Do you have a signature scent or shade of lipstick?
Yes I do! Insolance by Guerlain is my all time favorite perfume and Chili by MAC is my signature lippy.

10. What websites and blogs do you read daily?

Style.com, Vogue.uk, Harper's Bazaar, The Coveteur, Stockholm Streetstyle, The Sartorialist, Columbine Smille, Angelica Blick.

11. What are your favorite designers and where do you usually shop?

Oh, there are so many great designers that never cease to amaze me! But to name just a few right now, I would say Isabel Marant, Marc Jacobs, Stella McCartney, Chloe, Jil Sander, Gucci, Ermanno Scervino, Derek Lam and Miu Miu.
As for the high street labels, I remain faithful to the old trusty Zara, H&M, Cos and Mango.

Thanks for reading! Have a nice day!

Hello everyone! So today's post is totally different then the ones we usually do. It is the first time we interviewed someone , it was an amazing experience and hope to do more of these post in the future! Unfortunately we couldn't meet up with her because of the distance, but thanks to Facebook for making it possible! We have been following her and her blog for quite some time now, and fallen in love with her unique taste! A confident, young women and mother who has captivated us with her amazing style and charming personality!
Without further ado, here is the interview. Enjoy! : )
You find her here .

1. When did your interest in fashion begin and what made you want to start a style blog?
I’ve been interested in fashion ever since I was a little girl, I was walking around the house in my mother’s high heels and clothes, all the time. I remember I’d gather my whole family together and threw a ’fashion show’. OMG, I even have pictures of that. :D
When I moved back to Hungary, - I used to live in Belgium for 5 years - I didn’t know exactly what to do... I have a gorgeous two year old daughter and a husband who is a professional soccer player and who is always on the go, so our life is quite chaotic and unpredictable, you never know what the next move will be, which makes it impossible for me to take a ’normal’ job. Therefore, I thought about starting a personal style blog, I needed a place, where I could express myself and my love for FASHION!

2. Describe your style. Has it evolved since you began your blog?
Yes, absolutely! My style has gone through a lot of changes the past few months! I’ve learned what looks good on my body and what doesn’t. :D I’ve noticed that I became much more feminine and chic, than I was at the beginning. I’m still a huge fan of mixing classic pieces with casual though.

3. What things or places inspire you?
Basically everything that surrounds me… people on the street, magazine covers, fashion publications, blogs and other fashion sites, such as Lookbook and Chictopia.

4. Do you have any style icons?
Aimée Song and Victoria Beckham! They’re totally different, but as I told you, I love mixing casual with classic! ;)

5. What spring/summer pieces or trends are you most excited to wear?

I’m obsessed with black and white looks and stripes in general! My closet is basically full of b&w pieces, so I think I’m going to be sporting a lot of monochrome outfits, along with some electric blue accessories. I’m currently on a search for some floral skirts, pencil dresses and a cute bomber jacket.

6. What five essentials should every girl have in her wardrobe?
1.white blouse - 2. leather jacket - 3. perfect jeans  - 4. fitted blazer  - 5.LBD

7. Do you have a signature scent or shade of lipstick?
I have been using ’Mukhallat’ by Montale Paris for years now and I still can’t get enough of it. It’s such an addictive scent, so utterly characteristic and unique, a mix of white musk, almond, vanilia and strawberry. It’s just so yummy!
I’m a big fan of bold lipsticks! (red, burgundy, fuschia, coral) I love them all but if I have to pick my favourites I would say 1. YSL Rouge Volupté #17 and 2. L'OREAL Color Riche #373.

8. What websites and blogs do you read daily?
I read Style.com, Who What Wear, Song of Style, Atlantic-Pacific, Portable Package, Tina Sizinova and Hallie Daily on an everyday basis.

9. What are your favorite designers and where do you usually shop?
Here, where I live, we don’t have many shopping option, so I buy most of my clothes at H&M, MANGO, ZARA, or I shop online at Asos, Sheinside, Topshop, Luisaviaroma, Farfetch and on eBay occasionally.

My favourite designers are… well, I have a weakness for Chanel, Saint Laurent, Balmain, Givenchy and Balenciaga. <3

Thanks for stopping by!
Have an amazing day!
XOXO
